This is a bridge over the Verdigris River near the trail landmark of Coody's Bluff. Located east of Nowata, Oklahoma.

"...we got to the Virdigree last night, and it took us all this day till late this evening to dig down the Banks and  cross over." Diary April 27, 1849.

"...the banks being bad 2 of the wagons got over with great difficulty... assisted by the ox team company some pulling at the ropes..." 1850 diary.
