The Rocky Mountain Dutch Oven Cooking Company offers a weekend seminar, taught by Riverton's Jack Schmidt ( a frequent pioneer trail re-enactor) where students will use various fuels to season and cook in their new cast iron Dutch oven. The $230 (cabin) or $251 (room) fee (taxes included; $55 for the second person) also includes a set of cooking gear, one night's stay at the inn, four meals and a guided tour of the South Pass City State Historic Site and Carissa gold mine.
