Joyce Everett has participated in most CA/NV chapter activities and most conventions since joining in 1998. 4-wd trail tours and mapping outings are two of her favorite OCTA activities. She caught the rut-nut bug on the Carson River Route. Her relatives came to California by rail, not by wagon. She is an enthusiastic member of Trails West, Inc.
Raised in San Francisco, she has generally made her home in the Sierra Nevada foothills. Although fulfilled by her former career as a social worker, Joyce enjoys having more time for emigrant trails, local history, bluegrass, gardening and friends.
